GeoBrief Weekly publishes weekly, specification-linked geography discussion packs at geobriefweekly.com. By creating an account or subscribing you agree to these terms.

Accounts are for named members of school or college staff. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity on your account. Accounts are not intended for students, and we ask that you do not create accounts on their behalf.

A subscription allows the named teacher, or the named seats on a department plan, to print, photocopy and display GeoBrief Weekly packs for classes they teach at their own institution. Packs may be shared with students in class and through a school’s internal, access-controlled learning platform.

The licence lasts as long as your subscription. Packs you downloaded during a paid period may continue to be used with your own classes after it ends; the licence to download new packs stops when the subscription does.

• Uploading packs to public websites or resource-sharing platforms
• Reselling, sublicensing or distributing packs outside your institution
• Sharing account credentials beyond the seats included in your plan
• Removing GeoBrief Weekly attribution, source lists or image credits
• Using the material to train a machine learning model, or bulk-downloading the archive by automated means

Plans, prices and the number of staff seats included are shown on the pricing page. Prices include VAT where it applies.

Payments are taken by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each paid period until cancelled. We will tell you before a price change takes effect, and you may cancel rather than accept it.

Department plans may instead be invoiced against a school purchase order. Invoiced access begins when the invoice is agreed and runs for the period stated on it.

You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and is not pro-rated.

If you are buying as a consumer rather than on behalf of a school, you have 14 days from the start of a subscription to change your mind. Tell us within that time and we will refund you. Whenever something has gone wrong, email us — we would rather sort it out than stand on the wording.

We publish a new brief each teaching week during term time. We aim to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may need to suspend it for maintenance. Nothing here affects your legal rights if the service is not provided with reasonable care and skill.

All summaries and questions are original GeoBrief Weekly writing. Where a brief draws on reporting or data from another organisation, that source is named with its publication and access date. Images are used only where the licence permits educational reproduction. Our full copyright and source policy explains how we cite and license material, and how to raise a concern.

Briefs are teaching resources, not examination guidance. Specification links are our editorial judgement and are not endorsed by any awarding body. Always check the current specification published by the awarding body.

GeoBrief Weekly provides original educational summaries and analysis. Copyright in linked journalism remains with the original publisher.

You can close your account at any time by writing to us. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms — most often that means credential sharing or redistribution — and where it is reasonable to do so we will warn you first and refund the unused part of your period.

We take care over the accuracy of every brief, but we cannot accept responsibility for examination outcomes or for decisions taken on the basis of a resource. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page will change, and we will let subscribers know about anything material. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction.
